Anhiti Mandal- A class X student of ‘The Shri Ram School’- Aravali Gurugram has raised money for Feed the daily wagers programme at Lotus Petal Foundation by selling her art work.

She connected with our Community team for volunteering in the year 2019 with a clear thought that she would like to give back to society by spending her time in a meaningful way. Initially she started taking teaching sessions of Math’s and Science for Vidyananda Students of Class 3 and 4 in the session 2019-20 on the topic shared by our academic mentors. This helped not only the Lotus Petal Children but also boosted the confidence in Anhiti and made her yearn and look forward for Saturday teaching sessions.

It was during one of her sessions that she came to know that students at Lotus Petal were preparing Diwali Diyas – a popular saleable item for Diwali Mela in different corporate. This activity motivated her to prepare some special art work for AWA Mela. She prepared small Gift tags, Greetings cards, Small Easels, Canvas Paintings, Pattern Making art work etc. She has been raising funds earlier too for NGO’s in and around Gurgaon.

We are thankful to our volunteers, donors who are standing by us in these difficult times.
